It's really difficult to ignore this phenom but every repub I know has the same response, "I'm really scared for this country". It's weird. Or it must have sounded weird coming from me at after the last election. Looking back, I think I was justified to be scared for this country after the last election. There are more repubs switching sides and backing this guy, as we speak. What a day in America.
i hope he wins, but i am concerned about obama's chances. these are some quotes weekend edition on npr, the old woman was particularly funny...

This whole election cycle, reporters in our newsroom have been getting weird questions about Barack Obama - after we'd turn off our recorders. So we stopped turning off the recorders, and here's some tape if you want to hear it.
Elderly woman: He's a Muslim, you understand, and I like Muslims, but he's a wicked one.
Younger woman: I have a hard time with his name, with Osama's name, because of what we're going through and what this country's been through and maybe that's wrong, but I don't really know of his affiliations because of his name.
The thing is, he's locked up NM and IA, and Virginia appears solid blue as well. Assuming this holds he's a guaranteed winner barring massivr voter suppression successes by the thug party.
