Train Excitement at Point of Rocks

Few sounds are as loud and ominous as the sound of a train's hitch breaking. The train had come to a slow crawl when, off in the distance starting with the engine, came an incredible yawn followed by a loud crashing bang, followed by successive bangs as the tension grew in, and passed through, each of the cars until finally the weakest link was snapped with the sound of breaking metal. The severed half creaked slowly backwards from the recoil. Standing just meters from it, hearing the noise coming at you and not quite knowing what was happening, you reach again, after a second, for your breath.

About a half-hour later the pieces were being put back together (brought by a second train traveling the wrong way on the second track) and the train was off again.
