I think of Dave Berman all the time. Maybe embarrassingly so. I was laying mulch in a flower bed in our backyard and I thought about his poem where he says his childhood was a "mulch of white minutes."
Whenever I see water I say all water is classic water.
A year ago today I was eating crawfish and hushpuppies with you and your family before wandering around a flea market in 98 degree heat.
