Scenes from Virginia

One of the many, many reasons I am glad to be living on this side of the Potomac is that in Virginia we get to have that most wonderful of cultural happenings - the Chantilly Gun Show!

When life gets you down and the unending drear of your chosen profession becomes like a shackle trapping you on the ground floor of the great chain of being, spending a day surrounded by all sorts of fabulous weaponry can be just the tonic for the world-weary soul.

Who could be depressed when such things as this are available for purchase?

These are some FANTASTIC titles; it took all my will to resist buying most of them.

It's a family thing, everyone knows that.

The astute among you will note there is something deeply discordant with this photo.

This one's for Kevin: Ain't history fascinating?

More photos will be up a little later at the NOVA TownHall Blog. Ya'll stop on by we'll put out some squirrel gravy and biscuits.

  1. The Filipino Fighting Whip! I love "The Most Dangerous Game". Those are priceless. I'm gonna take my time and work on the history bit, as well as being more astute.
