Each time my plane lands I imagine a cloud of text messages and status updates on impact.

  1. I intend to bring a dust devil of that crap with me Thursday night.

  2. I think on this site, I am a parlour leftist poser, or was the last time I checked. I think I become even more of one by using British spelling.
Believe me Paco, there will be photos and observations galore from the "Summit on the Summit"

  4. Seriously, I only wish the repubs had gotten this upset when we blew all that money invading Iraq. Our economy would probably be in much better shape now had we not!!

  5. Don't forget the medicare prescription drug plan all while slashing taxes. This sudden deficit outrage is hysterical.

  6. So how does it feel to lose, AGAIN?

  7. Iraq? Seriously? Prescription drug plan? Is that how you guys actually interpret current events? Good luck with that, gentlemen. Meanwhile, those of us who live in the present will be focused on the destruction of the Democrat party. Have a nice day.

  8. Republican Party destroyed? You, my friend, are on crack. The Republican Party has gone from near collapse in November 2008 to its strongest position since the Civil War, thanks you your man and his people in Congress. I guess you all would not know about that, however. Ok. Please just ignore this comment, it is only a dodge.

  9. RE the violence: first I have heard of that. Don't condone it but, as Chris Rock said, I understand.

Maybe some are taking my "punch a Democrat in the face today" admonition too seriously, so as a matter of civic duty I will moderate that message.

I'm not sure I would agree that the party is as strong as it's ever been. It might be as fractured as it's ever been. And when it comes to real leaders and candidates who are they>

  11. Strongest since the Civil War? You need to quit dipping your cigarettes. Repubs lost a congressional seat in NY held since the Civil War and the big success is getting a pro-choice repub elected in Mass (who voted for Obama's job bill). Overall, it seems like a standard off-year election. But keep up the threats, chasing off moderates, and campaign this fall on taking health care away...this should play well.

  12. We should do another fishing trip.

  13. Overlooking everything electorally that has happened SINCE the NY election? You'd better stop adding that teaspoonful of DMT to your Cheerios each morning, because it's turning your reality into an ongoing cartoon. The Republican Party's support is growing because of the overwhelming shift of Independent voters away from the Democrats. If you want me to suggest some reading materials to catch you up on things since you have been ensconced within that sauna tent, just say the word.

And yes, fishing would be good. I suppose it has to be more like A River Runs Through It, though, right?

  14. Joe: Ha @ "ignoring everying electorally." By this Fall, you all will have scared away the independents...you can't help yourselves.

Kevin: We should do another fishing trip.

  15. Actually I am an Independent. Let's see how we are scared away.

When is everyone going to be near the Chesapeake?

  16. Fishing would be great, I don't know the next time I'll be out near the Chesapeake though. We might have to make it a river trip, unless we can plan well ahead. Though the easiest thing would be for me to come out there, I realize.
