Not a Sermon, Just a thought

The night we moved into our apartment Abby brought cake, and we sat on the floor eating it while listening to a Cat Stevens record. There was something very exciting and possible about being there in a new place with checkered floors, and Ryan and I both missed her when she was gone from his life. 16april1997

  1. Remember the blob of colored light that the little stain glass window high up in our living room would cast down on the tile next to the couch, right there at the head of our long railcar hallway?

I don't know why you missed Abby so much, she barely ever hung out with us.

  2. She had those Alanis Morrisette features.
She hung out enough to leave a good impression upon us all.
    She had a great bathtub.

  3. Now, Tom, do you remember the one night at her apartment when you were talking about harnessing power from strawberries? Did you take a bath that night?

  4. Yes, that night my understanding of atomic physics was temporarily lost, and I envisioned such a thing as a strawberry atom, and pondered the possibilities of splitting the atom to find a clean renewable source of energy to power our juicers and toasters.
And then I took a bath, without permission.
    I recall she wasn't pleased.
